Mom and I went somewhere. 

We went to Nauvoo by way of Chigaco 

First, we flew to Chicago and spent the night with Jared, Lisa, Hannah and Asher.  It was good to see them.  They are growing like weeds. Hannah and Asher that is. Take a look at the brown couch they are sitting on.  That's where Jared spent his nights while we were there.  Thanks for taking one for the parents.

Next, we drove to Nauvoo and got there in the evening.  The fist thing we did was park and take this picture.  It's hard to imagine Nauvoo in it's heyday.  The temple took two and a half years to build and they used it for seven weeks, then shut the doors and went west.
